Joe received his Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from Montana State University Bozeman. He is a registered Professional Engineer in the state of Montana.
Joe has 36 years’ experience in Civil/Environmental Engineering. He has been a principal owner and project manager at two Montana-based engineering firms for the past 25 years. Joe’s primary areas of specialization are Civil and Environmental Management and Site Planning/Design. He has managed numerous municipal infrastructure projects, subdivisions and large scale civil site designs; dozens of petroleum release sites, hazardous waste investigations and cleanup; more than 100 environmental site assessments and dozens of SPCC plans for petroleum storage tank sites and bulk plants. Mr. Murphy served as Consultant/Industry Representative on the governor-appointed Petroleum Tank Release Compensation Board from 2001 through 2004.
