Chaz Bava, L.S.I.

Chaz started his career in surveying in 2011, working in Pennsylvania, and then the North Slope of Alaska doing 3D surveys for oil exploration in 2012. Chaz graduated with his Associates in Applied Sciences in Land Surveying from Flathead Valley Community College in 2015. After obtaining his degree, Chaz completed drone and cadastral work for a Lake County surveyor before coming to work at Big Sky Civil & Environmental, Inc.

 

At Big Sky Civil and Environmental Chaz works closely with Mark Leo to accomplish a variety of survey needs including: all manners of legal surveys (retracements, aggregations, boundary line adjustments, family transfers, easement retracement, and creation), topographic surveys, encroachments, ALTA surveys, flood plain evaluation surveys (establishment of elevations in reference to base flood elevations), remediation surveys, construction staking and layout, As-Built surveys, cadastral retracement, and reestablishment of cadastral boundaries. Chaz develops, reviews, and compiles necessary documents for the survey process and deliverables including: Certificate of  Survey development, Plat development, Subdivision applications, Legal Descriptions, Easement documentation, Deed writing, and FEMA related documents. Chaz also has construction inspection experience completing nuclear density testing and construction observation.
